Valley Collection Basic Bed Styles

Posted on 07/11/2016

The Specialty Staircase Beds might be the highlight of the Valley Collection, but that’s not to say that the other beds — and storage pieces — in it aren’t worth writing home about. The simple design can blend perfectly with traditional or modern décor, and can lean toward either style category, depending on the bed style you choose. In addition to the Valley Stair Loft and Valley Stairbunk, you have a few other bed style choices within the Valley Collection.

Valley Collection Taylor Bed

The Taylor Bed stands out with a U-shaped headboard and footboard design, along with the appearance similar to wainscoting, for a traditional appeal. It comes in either Twin or Full sizes, as well as a Bunk Bed. Optional accessories include under-bed options discussed above as well as a Privacy Panel for the Bunk Bed. The Twin bed measures 41.5 inches wide, and the Full bed measures 56.5 inches wide. Both bed sizes are 81 inches long, with 40-inch-high headboards and 30.75-inch-high footboards.

Valley Collection Captain’s Bed

The Valley Captain’s Bed has a slatted, round headboard and footboard design that provides a break from the otherwise heavy piece. It comes in Twin or Full sizes; both are 81 inches long and 43 inches high; the Twin is 42 inches wide, and the Full is 58 inches wide. The most significant aspect of this bed style is its carefully designed storage capability. Four under-bed drawers come standard, but an additional set of drawers can be added to the other side of the bed. Sliding doors on the footboard help provide access to drawers. In addition to the drawers, the storage set includes an open shelf area, allowing a nightstand to be used without blocking a drawer. The open area can be on either side of the drawers, and if only the one set of drawers is desired, it can be placed on either side of the bed. The Twin Captain’s Bed is usually in stock at The Bedroom Source, in any of the four finishes.

Valley Collection Casey Bed

The Valley Casey Bed offers a boxy, no-nonsense look that appears confident and modern. It has a ¾-inch smaller width than the Captain’s Bed, and its headboard and footboard are the same height as those of the Valley Taylor Bed. In addition to Twin and Full sizes, the Casey Bed is also available as a Bunk Bed, with a height of 70.75 inches. Optional accessories include Storage Drawers, Box Trundle, or Privacy Panel (for Bunk Bed).

Valley Collection Jordan Bed

The fourth and final bed style in the Valley Collection is the Jordan Bed which has a bit more of a curvy look than the other pieces in the collection, providing a hint of feminine flair. The headboard and footboard stand 3 inches higher than the other Valley Collection beds, as does the Bunk Bed. Both the Twin and Full sizes measure a ½ inch wider than the Taylor Bed. Any of the three optional accessories apply.
