Rustic Meets Industrial: Buckeye Collection for Boys, Part 2

Posted on 08/13/2020

With a Rustic Barnwood Brown finish, corrugated metal accents, and solid iron hardware with a Galvanized finish, the Buckeye Collection is sure to bring excitement to the world of any guy! Starting with three bed styles we looked at in Part 1, this piece incorporates plank styling as well as premium construction techniques. Combining kiln-dried hardwoods and Acacia veneers, the following pieces can be paired with various beds in the Buckeye Collection.

Buckeye Collection Under-Bed Pieces

Two under-bed storage pieces accompany the Buckeye Collection and can be positioned beneath the Twin or Full-sized Panel Bed or the bottom bunk of the Buckeye Bunk Bed in any size. First, the Buckeye Trundle Storage Drawer can be used for your choice of storage or an additional low-profile mattress. The front gives the appearance of being two smaller drawers, and wheels along the bottom allow it to be easily rolled out, even when used to house heavy, bulky items. This piece also includes 2 removable dividers.

The second under-bed piece is the Buckeye Underbed Storage Unit. It includes an open cubby as well as two side-mounted drawers, each with solid iron drawer pull hardware that matches other Buckeye Collection drawer storage pieces and can be positioned on either side of your child's bed. Alternatively, two Storage Unit pieces can be used beneath a single bed by positioning them on both sides.

Buckeye Collection Storage Loft Pieces

If you decide to utilize the Buckeye Low Loft Bed as a storage loft, you can position any two of these storage pieces beneath it. Identical in size, they can be paired in any order, or you could even use two of a single style! Alternatively, any of these pieces could be used independently, anywhere in your child's bedroom.

The first of this trio is the 3-Drawer Single Dresser. Like all drawer storage pieces in the Buckeye Collection, its drawers include no-snag interiors, English dovetailing, and solid wood drawer boxes. Add in full-extension drawer glides and built-in drawer stops for added safety. The framed front of the top drawer allows it to stand out from the rest, and all 3 include solid iron, bar-style drawer pull hardware.

The second piece that can be used beneath the Buckeye Low Loft Bed is the Buckeye Bookcase. This simply stated piece includes two fixed shelves and vertical plank styling on both sides, with a horizontal plank half-way up.

The third and final piece that can be used to create a storage loft is the Buckeye Tin Roof Sliding Door Chest. The sliding barn doors are complete with corrugated metal. Behind the doors, a single adjustable shelf offers versatile storage. The sides match those of the 3-Drawer Dresser and Bookcase, with vertical planks and a single horizontal plank.

In our next post in this series, we'll take a look at the larger clothing storage pieces in the Buckeye Collection.
